Astronesia dissolves, new nation named as successor

 


Raj Mahal, Dharmapur - The Federal Empire of Astronesia was dissolved today, the 5th of May 2023 at 3:37 PM local time which paved way for the empire to be succeeded by the Kingdom of Mayursia which is recognized as a successor state to the empire. In a statement issued by the Emperor of Astronesia, His Illustrious and Imperial Majesty read - 

Greetings, everyone!
I would like to inform you all that the Empire of Astronesia will cease to exist. The glorious nation is set to dissolve on the 5th of May this year and the main reason for this was inactivity. The Empire will be succeeded by the Kingdom of Mayursia, which will aim at gaining international recognition and development.

 Astronesia - Failed Success

Since the nation's establishment in March 2022, the Federal Empire of Astronesia aimed to eradicate inactivity, often referred to as the "Inactivity Crisis of 2022". Astronesia succeeded the "Free Republic of Elite City" after a successful referendum held in the parliament. Astronesia, unlike its predecessor, was not a republic but a monarchy. This was because most of the citizens in the 2022 census stated that the country could not develop with democracy because there wasn't enough enthusiasm in the members of the Parliament and they often delayed in the matters of legislations. Astronesia was formed on 30th March 2022 with the territories previously claimed by the Free Republic. The nation aimed for full productivity and activity in the government by promoting the "Development Era" but failed to do so. Within days, the nation again experienced another wave of inactivity crisis and this made everyone silent.

As the clock is ticking, let me remind you all of the glorious past we had in this empire. And yes, after a few hours this empire will be no more and we shall prosper in a new one. I'd like to thank all who directly or indirectly contributed to this empire, and hope the same support will be given in the future.

With the new "Golden Era" starting from now onwards, the current King (also the then-Emperor) promises to work hard and improve the new nation's reputation and international recognition. There are plans to create a new "Constitutional Assembly" to engage with the citizens and form new laws. Along with this, the King plans to establish diplomatic relations with many nations to strengthen the diplomatic ties and gain international recognition.
